New enterprise-wide BIO Initiative--Data as an Asset Strategy (DaaS)

One of Intuit’s greatest assets is the data flowing through our products, which span: small business, tax, personal finance, online, banking, healthcare, and a lot more. Our goal is to transform our data assets into innovative services to better serve our customers. In the course of the next two years, we will be building a linked collection of data assets to provide near real-time market intelligence to our internal and external customers on a scale currently unheard of. To get this done, Intuit has recently formed a new group focused on this enterprise-wide priority: Business Intelligence Optimization (BIO). The BIO group will be leveraging state of the art development languages & frameworks, NoSQL/Big Data solutions, etc. to solve the biggest data challenges that exist on the web and in the cloud.
